There is an abundance of different valleys to enjoy great ice climbing in the Gran Paradiso park. Those valleys includes Valsavarenche, Rhemes and what is often considered the mecca of ice climbing, Cogne. Each one of those valleys offers many fantastic ice climbing routes. And, as a result of the wonderful variety in the park, this trip is open to people of different climbing levels. I will see to it that we select the perfect route for you, based on not only your skill level, but your personal preferences, weather conditions, ice conditions and avalanche risk level. And in the end, you will have one, or several days, of unforgettable ice climbing.
Our trip will begin with a brief equipment check. After that, we will take a scenic hike to our selected destination. The hikes can range from 10 minutes to 2 hours, depending on which location we choose. After we reach the desired ice fall, we will prepare our equipment and start climbing. Afterwards, we will return to the parking lot then head off to enjoy either a cold beer, or a piping hot chocolate, depending on how you feel.
While this trip is open to people of different levels, all participants should be in good physical condition.
The ice climbing in the Gran Paradiso National Park is some of the best in the world. To enjoy it for yourself, just send me a request.

I was born in 1981 and live in the Aosta Valley, surrounded by the wonderful peaks of my region.
I started guiding in 2016.
I like all mountain activities: freeride skiing and ice climbing in winter, ski mountaineering in spring, mountaineering in the high mountain in summer and rock climbing whenever possible!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
