Join Yaroslav, an IFMGA-certified guide, on this 1+ day ice climbing program in the Kyrgyz range and enjoy an amazing adventure in Kyrgyzstan.
Open to everyone
This ice climbing program in the Kyrgyz range is a perfect getaway adventure from Bishkek, in Kyrgyzstan.
Bishkek is the capital and biggest city of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountain range –usually known as the Kyrgyz range- is located around 40 km south from the city, so it provides some spectacular contrasts with it.
These mountains are a western spur of the major Tien-Shan mountain system, which stretches for 370 km through the countries of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. There are many gorges close to Bishkek, with high waterfalls that freeze during winter and are the perfect spot for ice climbing.
The program is designed for all skills and levels. So either if you want to start learning how to walk with crampons in ice, or you’re an experience ice climber looking for long and steep walls, I know the right spot for you.
We’ll meet early in the morning and we’ll drive to the place according your skills and wishes. The drive usually takes around 1 or 2 hours. Then we hike for a little bit to get to our designates ice wall.
I always take all the group equipment and, although we can go in groups of 4 people, If there are more than 2 clients I take an extra guide with me, so we can offer you a personalised experience.
So don’t hesitate and send me a request to make this 1+ day ice climbing program in the Kyrgyz range your next adventure! You can book me for 1 or more days, and bear in mind that this is a perfect trip to do in a weekend, so you can enjoy more ice climbing time.

We had a really nice time with Yaroslav and his driver Daniel. We were skitouring in the end of February in Karakol and Jyrgalan. Yaroslav is a very professional guide and knows the region very well. Thanks to him we always found the best spots for powder snow. The hostels that he selected were all excellent and clean. Both, Yaroslav and his driver Daniel are very punctual and reliable. They helped us in all matters and were very warm-hearted and fun! all in all we had an amazing week and are very thankful for the fun time that we had together! I would defently book again with Yaroslav!
We decided to do a different tour instead of the alpine lakes tour. But really it was amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Yaroslav was a super guide and hiking companion. Thank you so much really! Andreas
