Description

Experience a unique snowboarding experience in Myoko along a world-class rider! I am a Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) athlete with 15 years of riding experience and I know the slopes of Myoko like the back of my hand. Join me and let’s enjoy amazing runs together.

Located in the Niigata Prefecture, one hour north of Nagano, Myoko boasts some of the best vertical and longest runs in the country. I will show you around the best resorts of the area while giving you some riding tips through the tour.

Myoko is made up of three separate resorts: Myoko Suginohara, Myoko Akakura and Ikenotaira Onsen. The resorts are centred around Akakura village, where you can find most of the accommodation. Myoko Kogen is also known for its rich culture, history and traditional onsens (hot springs).

Exploring different lines adds a whole new dimension to riding, so this 1-day group program is a great opportunity to see first-hand what lines I pick and follow my tracks!

For 1 or more days, I will take you to my favorite pistes. For safety reasons, we will always ride within ski area boundaries. I am not a certified mountain guide, so our goal will just be to enjoy riding, on a day of pure fun.

Please note you need to have at least an intermediate snowboarding level to join me on this tour. You will be responsible to assess your own riding level, regarding what you can and cannot do.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
