Join me for an amazing rock climbing experience in the tranquil and picturesque Lake District of North West England!

This unique location is renowned for its natural beauty, having been designated both an English National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout the day, we’re sure to enjoy some spectacular views and some excellent rock climbing too.

Regardless of whether this is your first time rock climbing or you’re a seasoned pro, this lovely park has something for climbers of every ability. There are numerous and excellent outdoor climbing spots located throughout the park, of which we will take advantage.

From simple scrambles to get down the basics of climbing to intermediate ascents of Dow Crag, Gimmer or Esk Buttress, I will help guide you for an amazing climb. Once we’ve made it to the top, we’ll be sure to enjoy the spectacular views of this unique piece of Britain.

Doesn’t sound tough enough? For those of an advanced level, we can head on to Lakeland rock, where we will prove our mettle!

Summer Mountaineering Instructor

Summer Mountaineering Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader.

I am the owner at Rock n Ridge and have spent over 20 years enjoying the mountains of the UK & Europe. I hold the Mountain Instructors Award (MIA) which is the highest ‘summer’ outdoor qualification in the UK, and the Winter Mountain Leader qualification. I also have qualifications in Mountain Biking, Canoeing & is a Pilates instructor.

I am passionate about my work and find that I can easily build rapport with people. I decided to set up Rock n Ridge in 2017 for my love and passion of the outdoors, as well as the fun and enjoyment of sharing that love with others.

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
