Highlights

* Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Isle of Skye.

* Conquer the toughest munro in all of Scotland.

* Learn new and hone existing rock climbing skills along the way.

Description

Considered the toughest of Scotland’s 282 munros to summit, Inaccessible Pinnacle is the perfect challenge for scrambling and climbing enthusiasts.

While the ascent is not technically too difficult, in fact no prior rock climbing experience is required, wind and rain can make the climb much harder than its ‘moderate’ rating.

However, over the course of our day together, we will conquer the most iconic munro on the Isle of Skye’s famed Cuillin Ridge and enjoy the excellent views from the top as well as along the way.

After meeting up and getting to the trailhead, our adventure begins with a 2.5 hour hiking approach up the Sgurr Dearg ridge before we reach the base of the pinnacle.

We will be taking the East Ridge route up Inaccessible Pinnacle, which involves an ascent of 68 meters. There are plenty of excellent hand and footholds the entire way up the pinnacle however, meaning all you have to do is put one hand and foot in front of the other.

Once we’ve reached the top, all the effort will have been well-worth it. The views out over the rest of Cuillin Ridge and Isle of Skye are incredible. The experience will surely leave you longing to come back for more munro climbing in the future.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this fun and exciting 1-day rock climbing ascent of Inaccessible Pinnacle on the Isle of Skye’s Cuillin Ridge!

If you like the look of this trip then I think you will also enjoy my 4-day traverse of the entire Cuillin Ridge!

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
