Description

A gorgeous valley, Cerna is located in the Mehedinti Mountains of Romania. And on this 2 day trekking adventure, you will get to explore a huge portion of this beautiful valley.

Filled with amazing gorges and peaks, the Cerna valley is a fantastic place to explore. It is also home to several small, lovely villages in the Cernei Mountains. You will also get to visit the giant Dolines (Crovurile) in the Mehedinti Mountains as well. Finally, the valley is home to a vast collection of stunning flora and fauna as well.

Along the path, you will get to enjoy a seamless connection between nature and man. You will get to go from villages and peaks several times a day. You will also get to interact with several highland people, who have called the Cerna valley home for generations.

Our base of the trip will be Baile Herculane. This area has several soothing hot springs. Hence giving you a fantastic place to relax after a long day’s hike. There are also many comfortable accommodation options in the area to enjoy as well.

This trip is open to everybody because it can easily be tailored to people of every skill level. However, it is important that all participants are in good enough physical condition to enjoy a full day of hiking.

Along with the guiding fee, the price also includes any necessary hiking equipment such as trekking poles and backpacks, but does not include meals or accommodation expenses.

I start guiding in 2017 as a International Mountain Leader organizing trekking tours during the summer and snowshoeing during the winter especially in Carpathian mountain ranges.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
