2-day climbing Mount Hood for beginners

If you are a beginner climber looking for a first challenging ascent, you definitely want to take this trip to Mount Hood.

Located in Oregon, Mount Hood is a beautiful stratovolcano and one of the most iconic peaks of the area. With 3,429 meters in altitude, it is the highest point in Oregon.

During this 2-day tour, we’ll take the southside route of Mount Hood. The first day, we’ll choose a site to camp and have an orientation about basic snow climbing. That way we’ll provide you with all the necessary information for the climb. For the second day, we’ll enjoy the ascent to the mountain.

Take into account that this is a basic technical climb. If you want to take this trip, it is mandatory to have a high level of fitness. Although this is an “easy” trip, consider that the ascent can get really challenging sometimes and must be taken seriously.
