Description

Val d’Aran is located in the Lérida province of Catalonia and belongs to the Pyrenees. It is the ideal spot for winter sports such as snowboarding. On this 2-day introductory off piste snowboarding course in Val d’Aran you will learn everything you need to know to enjoy this exhilarating sport!

During this course, you will learn about climbing snowed slopes and the proper use of snowboarding equipment. In addition, this course includes lessons about reading snow conditions and some avalanche training. You will learn how to use a transceiver, shovel and probe after an avalanche. The main purpose of the course is to provide you with all the necessary tools to go down backcountry slopes safely. Also, take into account that it will be taught in Spanish.

Although this is an introductory course, it is important to have a good fitness level to be a part of it. Some prior background knowledge in mountaineering will make this course much more enjoyable for you. Also, if you want to spend more days on this program, all you have to do is let me know.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
