Join us for this 2-day winter camping experience near Seattle, in which we will learn all the necessary skills to camp in the cold successfully.
After meeting in the Seattle metro area, we will head out to the trailhead. Depending on the weather conditions, we will decide where to go closer to the time. We want to avoid any areas where there may be avalanche advisories.
Once we are at the trailhead we will plan our route using GPS or wands, if there is fresh snow. Once we have hiked to the site, we will set up camp and learn how to fortify it.
The next day we will hike to a destination of our choosing and you will help to plan the route and navigate our way there. Along the way we will discuss winter ecology and snow conditions. All of these are essential for winter trekking and camping in more remote locations.
After our hike, we will return to camp and pack everything up then hike back down to the trailhead. On the way back to Seattle, we will stop at a restaurant for a celebratory dinner.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this winter camping experience in the Cascade Range of wonderful Washington state!
