Would you like to spend 3 days exploring the amazing spots of Montserrat? Then follow us on this hiking tour and combine a visit to an old abbey with a peak summit and an excursion in the wilderness.
On the first day of the program, we’ll visit the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey and explore its surroundings. At the heights of the massif and very near Barcelona, the monastery was built in the 11th century and is one of the religious and cultural centers of Catalonia.
On the second day, we’ll get to the top of Sant Jeroni (1,236 meters), the tallest peak of the Montserrat Massif. This mountain offers several trails to the summit, so we’ll choose one according to your preferences.
On the third day, we’ll head to the area of Les Agulles and get to see its fantastic rock formations. This trail allows us to see wonderful natural spots and very unique landscapes.
As for the difficulty, this trip is not demanding, so it’s not necessary to have any prior hiking experience. However, a good level of fitness will always make your experience more comfortable.
So, if you find this itinerary interesting, you just have to contact us by sending a request to book your place. We’ll start making all the arrangements for this exciting tour around some of Montserrat’s best spots.

I wanted to send you an email regarding the amazing experience we had in the Pyrenees with our guide Ricard. He was an amazing guide and was able to answer any questions we had and also made the hike an incredible experience for me as a geoscientist. He also stopped for breakfast along the way and provided us with a very nice picnic to enjoy during our hike which was very appreciated. I would highly recommend this experience and Ricard was an excellent guide who takes pride in providing people the most optimal experience and being a very friendly person in general.

It rained the day of my guided climb which made the trip less than I had hoped for. However, Xavi made it the best day he could and after we bailed we did some sport climbing where it was protected from rain.

Our guide Adria was easy-going & fabulous! He secured a funicular discount & completely transformed the climbing trip to accommodate us as first time climbers. Even letting us progress to a FINAL VERTICAL CLIMB! An absolute perfect day at Montserrat! The views were jaw-dropping! Happy family of 4, Thankyou!

Francesc was awesome. He brought us on our first multi pitch. He made arriving at the belay stations and eventually repelling super simple and safe feeling. The climbs he took us on we’re awesome and would have taken us hours to find if we just arrived at a new crag with a guide book (especially if the book was in Spanish) Definitely the highlight of our honeymoon.

Everything about this trip was amazing. The only thing I felt could be better was about what to expect and / or bring for the day. We had a good idea of what was needed being climbers already but beginners may not.

Ricard was amazing. It was everything I hoped for in my first hike. He picked a route that was perfect for my fitness level. I felt challenged but accomplished by the end of the 6.5 hour hike. I felt like Ricard and I were friends by the end of it. He was knowledgeable about the history of Montserrat and made sure to educate me about the trees, plants and the different mountain peaks during our adventure. I felt safe around Ricard and knew I was in great hands. He’s a wonderful human and truly made this experience rememberable.

Both Marissa and I had a great time climbing with Francesc. He was knowledgeable, charming and fun to climb with! Plus he taught us how to make pan con tomate :). One thing however, Cesc took some images with his camera (I cannot remember what he called it but it\'s similar to a GoPro) and we were curious if we could get digital copies. Can you ask him about that? I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone who is interested in climbing in Spain or anywhere in the world. Thanks!

My husband and I visited Spain in August and made sure to add a via ferratta to our \'to do\' list. Franscec was a wonderful guide. We loved his geology knowledge (we\'re both geoloigsts), as well as his knowledge about the flora and fauna. The trip was fun, but we would have loved to have gone on a longer trip. Next time! We highly recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for a fun outside adventure.

I have to admit, before getting a guide I was very weary. I had never used a guide for climbing but decided to go with Cesc. It was the best decision I made. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He knew exactly where to take us for learning sport outside and continued to push us throughout the day with climbs that were at our level. Will definitely use him again when we come back to BCN for some multi-pitch!

Francesc did a great job of finding a route within my abilities, and then a fantastic job guiding me up it! Hearing the bells of the monastery at Montserrat echo up the mountain while climbing was truly spectacular!

Both Explore-Share and Francesc gave us exactly the info we needed in a very short time, due to our program in Barcelona and around. There were no delays of any kind in our collaboration with both of them.

The via ferrata at las damas was amazing! The route is easy for people who have rock climbing experience, but also doable for everyone else!
