Description

Join me on this 7-day guided hike in the Kyrgyz mountains and discover this truly amazing corner of the world! During our hike, we’ll cross 3 gorges, see dozens of waterfalls and even climb up to the summit of one of the area’s most beautiful peaks.

I’ll meet you at the airport in Bishkek and, from there, we’ll get a transfer to Belogorka/Sokuluk gorge, just 70 km away. Our trek will take us up the gorge, through wild bushes and alpine flowers. During the summer, many waterfalls drape the walls of the gorge. It’s an amazing spectacle!

Afterwards, we’ll cross Ozyorniy Pass (3900m). Picturesque views of the surrounding areas open from up here. As we descend from the pass, we’ll follow a stream to the Ala-Archa gorge and, from there, we’ll follow an old dirt road to the Alpine Base Camp.

The third gorge in our trek will be the Ak-Sai gorge. On our way there, we’ll cross the Sharkiratma river and visit the Ak-Sai waterfall. Then, we will walk up to Ratsek Stop, from where we’ll enjoy amazing views of the the glacier and the surrounding peaks.

Here, there are lots of mountaineering routes of varying levels of difficulty. During the program, we’ll hike to the top of Uchitel Peak (4540m). The ascent and descent usually take between 5 and 7 hours and you won’t need any special equipment.

We had a really nice time with Yaroslav and his driver Daniel. We were skitouring in the end of February in Karakol and Jyrgalan. Yaroslav is a very professional guide and knows the region very well. Thanks to him we always found the best spots for powder snow. The hostels that he selected were all excellent and clean. Both, Yaroslav and his driver Daniel are very punctual and reliable.
