Description

Are you looking for a unique way to explore the Monte Rosa massif? Then join me on this awesome 5-day ski mountaineering tour from Champoluc!

The Monte Rosa is a mountain massif on the eastern side of the Pennine Alps, between Italy and Switzerland. It’s home to the second highest peak in the Alps, Dufourspitze (4,634 m), and features extensive terrain for challenging skiing adventures.

On this classic hut-to-hut ski mountaineering tour, we will explore the mountains of Monte Rosa and experience some stunning powder descents. After meeting in Champoluc, in the Aosta Valley, the adventure starts. We will climb and ski in amazing spots such as Colle del Turlo, Monte Moro and Saas Fee, and spend the nights in charming mountain huts.

Furthermore, we will discover the Walser culture of beautiful mountain villages such as Macugnaga, Saas-Almagell and Täsch. The tour also includes a scenic train transfer to Zermatt!  For a complete description of the program, check out the itinerary below.

Please note that this tour is only suitable for expert skiers who can ski in all snow conditions and on steep slopes. On some climbing passages, you will need to use crampons and an ice axe.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
