5-day Monte Rosa ski touring trip

Monte Rosa is a stunning ice-covered massif located in the Alps. It stands right at the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its main peak is Dufourspitze. And it as five other magnificent subsidiary peaks: Signalkuppe, Zumsteinspitze, Nordend, Dunantspitze and Grenzgipfel.

This incredible massif is the highest peak in Switzerland. At 4,634 meters of height, it is also the highest one in the Pennine Alps.

The terrain that surrounds Monte Rosa is famous for all its glaciers. In fact it is one of the largest glacier areas in Switzerland, Italy and the whole Alps region. So, we’ll visit many of them throughout our journey.

Two of the amazing highlights in this trip are the Findel Glacier and the Horn Pass. But there will be many other surprises waiting for us. Let me guide you across these winter landscapes that seem to be out of a dream!

Another great thing about this area is that even during the early days of summer, fresh snow keeps falling. Due to the glaciers around, the area remains cold. Hence, the quality of snow here is amazing. So, on top of the hypnotizing views we’ll get, we will also have the chance to experience some of the best skiing descents!

Moreover, we’ll be staying in the new Monte Rosa mountain hut. This charming and comfortable refuge is located strategically, so you can complete several tours using it as a hub.

We will encounter some steep climbs along the way. So in order to participate in this trip you need to be able to control your skis in all different kinds of snow.
