Description

Join me on this 6-day hut-to-hut hiking tour near Verbier and enjoy impressive views of the Grand Combin glaciated massif. Walking along mountain paths, we will experience the alpine landscape of the most southern part of Valais, on the border with Italy. Edelweiss and ibex may join us with a little luck.

Along our trek we hike at the end of Val de Bagnes in a semicircle. The Grand Combin massif accompanies us with its three four thousander peaks.

This glacier-rich area has been used for decades for power generation. For example, the Mauvoisin Dam is one of the largest reservoirs in Switzerland in terms of volume. Its arched dam is one of the 20 highest in the world. We will see it up close and finally round the lake.

We will be hiking for about 3 to 6 hours every day. It is an intermediate level hike, on mountain trails, with limited exposure, usually with ropes or similar protections devices.

This is a tour with an alpine flair but on good mountain trails, with a glaciated mountain panorama you will sure remember for a long time.

If you want to join me on this 6-day trek, just check the date below and book your place. This program is also available as a private tour. Come enjoy a great trek with amazing views of the Grand Combin!

If you prefer a shorter hike, you could check out this Alestch Glacier 4-day guided hiking tour.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
