This amazing 7-day hiking traverse in the Alps will take you across this magnificent mountain range. From Zugspitze, in Germany, we will cross the Austrian Alps and then arrive in Merano, Italy.
We’ll be walking between 5 and 7 hours per day. You definitely need to be fit; however, there is no need to be a pro! Dare join me and experience some unforgettable days in the most beautiful high mountain environment.
We will spend nights in picturesque mountain huts and wander through solitary valleys off the beaten track. We will use taxis or lifts to cover small sections and then go back to walking.
In 7 wonderful days, we’ll go from Germany’s highest peak, over the Alpine main ridge, to Merano in South Tyrol. It’s an experience that no avid hiker should miss out on!
You’ll enjoy the incredible views in this section of the Alps. Furthermore, you’ll spend your days surrounded by the most perfect stillness and unspoiled nature.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
