Description
Bordering on the Ligurian and the Tyrrhenian Sea, and situated above Sardinia, Corsica is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean. It’s a mountain island that belongs to France and its beautiful landscapes have nothing to envy from its Mediterranean neighbors.
Apart from its fantastic mountains, Corsica shows wonderful woods, vineyards, lakes, beaches and cliffs. If you follow me on this 8-day tour around this wonderful island, we’ll explore it in an unusual way.
The tour combines days of kayaking with days of hiking, which makes it a great opportunity to explore nature and enjoy a sportive activity. With our kayaks, we’ll discover remote wilderness areas that are difficult to reach. Also, we’ll visit some of the local villages on foot and try delicious meals and wines.
As for the requirements, keep in mind it’s important to have some prior kayaking experience as well as a good level of fitness. Of course, I will help and guide you on the way.

About the guide
I am Cristina Puppo, a mountain guide, traveler and sportswoman.
I love both the sea and the mountains: intact wilderness areas are the environments I enjoy.
On every opportunity I have, I like to take my time and explore slowly, whether close to home or around the world. I also enjoy practicing my favorite sports and activities: hiking, skiing, rock climbing, mountaineering, kayaking or sailing, as well as discovering the underwater life while snorkeling. But it is human encounters that make the experience even more unique, anywhere you go!
I have a degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences and chose it because I wanted my office to be in the wilderness. At first, I dreamed about the beautiful forests of northern Europe. One day, I missed my flight and found myself in Mali! In the end, I stayed in Africa for about 7 years and organized environmental and humanitarian projects for small NGOs.
At this moment, I live between Italy and France. In Grenoble, I obtained a Master in Economic Strategies in Sport and Tourism. In addition, I worked in the Ailefroide area at the Guides des Ecrins office.
My job is to organize trips for small groups in both popular and lesser known locations. I am interested in choosing the perfect time and place so we can live exciting experiences from start to finish. Are you fit?
