Description

Dare to conquer the legendary Matterhorn! Embark on an exhilarating ascent via the Hornli ridge with an expert mountain guide by your side.

Our journey starts in Cervinia at 11am! We'll gather for a pre-climb briefing and ensure everyone's equipment is ready for the challenge ahead. Then, it's time to hit the trail! We'll begin our ascent towards the Cervino Guide Refuge, where we'll rest and prepare for the journey.

After conquering the initial climb, we'll take a thrilling descent by cable car from Trockner Steg to Schwarzsee. From there, we'll embark on a moderate climb through a scenic path, leading us to the Hornli Hutte, our mountain home for the night.

We'll wake up at the crack of dawn and continue onto our climb of the legendary Matterhorn. Ascend the legendary Hornli ridge, conquering its challenges with each step. After taking in the sublime views from atop this iconic mountain, descend along the same route, and celebrate your achievement with a well-deserved dinner and cozy overnight stay at the Hornli Hutte.

Embrace the changing scenery as you descend from the Matterhorn. Follow the Hornli ridge, soaking in the panoramic views from Schwarzsee. Ascend by cable car to Trockner Steg, and marvel at the vastness of the Teodulo glacier stretching before you. Finally, reaching Testa Grigia, we'll take the lifts back to Cervinia, where a well-deserved rest await.

Excellent physical condition and involvement in sports, even at a non-competitive level

Previous experience on steep terrain

Successful completion of an Advanced internship with Adventure Dreamers or a similar mountaineering curriculum. For a comparison, you can refer to the specified article.

How fit do I need to be to climb Matterhorn?

Naturally, good physical fitness allows for faster progress.

Progressing above 4000m is more tiring than at lower altitudes due to the scarcity of oxygen.

If you have experience in mountain activities, including winter, and have already reached other 4000m peaks, you will be able to participate.

What exactly does the fee include?

The price includes:

  • 3 days with an alpine guide
  • Membership to the Adventure Dreamers group in your region, allowing you to participate in free self-organized activities with our members throughout the year.

However, it does not include nights and half-board in the huts, guide lunches, cable cars, transportation to the event locations, and the rental of ice axe, crampons, harness, and helmet.

Where will the Matterhorn climb take place?

The event will be held in the Matterhorn massif at the locations specified in the program. However, due to weather conditions, glacier conditions, and for safety reasons, the Alpine Guide reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to modify the program.

What happens in the event of bad weather?

If the guide forecasts bad weather, the event will be canceled. If the guide decides to proceed with the event because they believe there is a high chance of success and adequate safety conditions despite the weather, the event cost will not be refunded. No refunds will be given if a group member is unable to reach the summit or if the guide decides to descend due to the group's abilities or the weather conditions.
