Description

Prepare to trek through the most pristine landscapes of the Pyrenees, crossing borders between Spain and France while following the historic trails of the last native bears. The Senda de Camille is an immersion into a world of limestone peaks, lush beech forests, and high-mountain meadows.

Designed for those who seek the serenity of the outdoors without sacrificing peace of mind, this circuit offers some of the most spectacular vistas in Southern Europe.

What makes this adventure truly special is its adaptability: I understand that every group has different goals and that mountain weather can be unpredictable, and that is why the itinerary is designed with flexibility at its core.

Whether we are feeling energetic and want to tackle a challenging ridge or prefer a gentler, scenic variant to save your knees, we can adjust the route daily to match your physical condition and the current weather report.

Your comfort is a priority for me, allowing you to focus entirely on the landscape. If you prefer to hike with only a light daypack, I can offer a professional luggage transfer service between mountain huts via taxi. Furthermore, the duration of the trek is not set in stone; I can customize the stages to create a shorter experience or a more leisurely pace over several extra days.

    Time: 6 hours Distance: 15.3 km Elevation: +800 m / -1050 m

From the hostel, we follow the trail towards Paso del Caballo and continue on to Anzotiello. The route passes beneath impressive peaks such as Mallo Gorreta and Quimboa, which form a striking wall of rock above the valley. As we descend toward Guarrinza, we come across several ancient megalithic structures, adding a fascinating historical element to the surrounding natural scenery.

    Day 3: Gabardito to Lízara

Refugio de Gabardito – Salto la Vieja – Plandániz – Collado de Foratón – (Bisaurín) – Lizara

This is the shortest stage of the trek, normally taking around four hours. For those looking for an extra challenge, we can add the ascent of Bisaurín. This detour adds about three hours but is well worth the effort. As the highest peak in the area, Bisaurín offers outstanding panoramic views across the Pyrenees.

    Day 4: Lízara to Somport

Refugio de Lizara – Paúl de Bernera – Valle de los Sarrios – Ibón d'Estanés – Bosque de las Hayas – Somport

    Duration: 6–7 hours Distance: 17.4 km Elevation: +1070 m / -980 m

This stage is renowned for its spectacular scenery, especially the Valle de los Sarrios (Valley of the Chamois) and the beautiful Ibón d'Estanés, a glacial mountain lake.

The day begins with a demanding two-hour ascent from Refugio de Lizara. Once we reach Paúl de Bernera, the trail becomes gentler, leading through the wide and scenic Valle de los Sarrios.

From here, we descend toward Ibón d'Estanés before continuing through an enchanting beech forest (Bosque de las Hayas) on the way to Somport. This varied stage is one of the highlights of the Senda de Camille trek.

    Time: 6–7 hours Distance: 18.9 km Elevation: +1148 m / -781 m

This stage showcases the Pyrenees’ diverse landscapes, from the lush Sansanet forest to the scenic Espelunguère valley, ending at the beautiful Arlet Lake and mountain hut at 2,000 metres. Along the way, we pass traditional shepherd cabins, with the unique chance to purchase homemade local cheese directly from the shepherds.

    Day 6: Arlet to Lescun

Arlet – Col de La Cuarde – Col de Pau – Cabanne de Bonaris – Labrenère – Lescun

    Time: 6 hours Distance: 19.5 km Elevation: +518 m / -1641 m

This stage follows the historic Chemin de la Liberté, once used by refugees fleeing persecution during wartime. It also traces part of the ancient Camino de Santiago route in Aragón. The day ends with breathtaking views of the Cirque de Lescun as we descend into the valley.

    Day 7: Lescun to Linza

Lescun – Mazouza – Ansabère – Col de Petrechema – Foyas del Ingeniero – Linza

    Time: 7 hours Distance: 16.6 km Elevation: +1290 m / -790 m

The final stage begins with stunning views of the Cirque de Lescun, framed by peaks such as Les Billaires and Mesa de los 3 Reyes. At the Ansabère cabins, hikers have one last opportunity to buy French cheese before tackling a steeper climb.

    Mountain Guide

Right in the heart of Catalonia, well connected with Barcelona, stands the Montserrat massif; a mountain with big natural, cultural and spiritual significance that rises sharply to 1,236 meters from the top of St. Jeroni.

I organize guided activities and courses of all levels, and offer the possibility to discover this fantastic mountain accompanied by a professional certified guide.

Along with all these activities in Montserrat, I can guide you over all the natural sites of Catalonia and the Pyrenees, a region with a wide range of possibilities for trekkers, hikers, climbers, etc.

I promote the use of sustainable transportation (train, zipper, funicular) and the development of activities that stimulate in participants a feeling of belonging to the places he or she visits. This perception of belonging, as we work with feelings and perceptions, can perfectly be assimilated to a sense of spirituality.

    Our main activities are:
Spiritual values of Nature for private, groups or companies
    Rock climbing
