Description
Despite being a very small country, Andorra is nonetheless a beautiful place to visit and explore. And on this week long hiking trip, you will get plenty of opportunity to see what makes this place so wonderful.
You will be staying in a very comfortable 3 star hotel throughout this trip. That hotel will be our base, and from there, we will venture out to several different and sensational spots. Those spots include the Madriu valley, the Cabana Sorda pond, the Sorteny Botanical nature park, and the Ensagent lakes. Other spots you will get to visit include the Rialb valley, Querol, Salamander, the Font Verd refuge, the Estall Serrer and the Estany Moreno. You will also get to trek to the summits of two marvelous peaks during this trip as well. Those peaks are the Griu peak (2,874m) and Pessons peak (2,860m). from these summits you will be granted spectacular panoramic views that will really open up the natural landscape of Andorra for you.
During our hikes, you will get to admire the landscape’s amazing variety of flora and fauna. You will also likely get the chance to see some of area’s wildlife as well, including marmots.
This trip is open to people of all levels. However, because we will be hiking for 5 to 6 hours per day, you should be in good physical condition.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
When you arrive at the hotel, we will have a welcome dinner at 7:00 pm and organize your trip.
Day 2: Madriu Valley
Today we will hike through the beautiful Madriu valley. In the valley we will visit the Font Verd refuge and the Estall Serrar. We will be hiking for approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 3: Cabana Sorda Pond
We will hike to the Incles valley. Along with the Cabana Sorda Pond, we will also visit Querol and Salamander. We will be hiking for approximately 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Sorteny Botanical Nature Park and Lake Estanyo
Today we will hike through the Sorteny Nature Park. Afterwards, we will go up to Lake Estanyo and return by way of the Rialb valley. We will be hiking for approximately 5 hours.
Day 5: Pessons Peak (2,860m)
Along with hiking to the summit of Pessons Peak, we will also visit the largest lake area in the country that consists of 18 lakes and ponds. We will be hiking for approximately 6 hours.
Day 6: Griu peak (2,874m)
Today’s hike will begin in the valley of the Cortals d’Encamp. There you will get to see the Estany Moreno. We will also hike to the summit of the Griu peak as well. We will return by the same route or by the Collada d’Entinyola and the Bosc del Campea. We will be hiking for approximately 6 hours.
