Description

The Columbia River Gorge near Portland, Oregon offers a number of amazing hikes. And on this half-day trek, we would like to take you on one of the area’s most popular hikes to the Angel’s Rest.

With the trail head located only 30 minutes away from the city of Portland, it is very easy to reach. Hence making this half-day hike a fantastic addition to a trip you may be taking to Portland, or other parts of the United States’ Pacific Northwest.

The total distance of the Angel’s Rest hike is approximately 4.8 miles. The elevation gain experienced during the hike is approximately 1,450 feet. It is a moderate level hike and is open all year round. Thus making it a wonderfully accessible option for anybody who wants to enjoy the outdoors. Some examples of what you will get to see during the hike include Coopey Falls through the trees. We will also take a small detour that will lead you to Upper Coopey Falls. Finally, once you reach the top of Angel’s Rest, you will get to enjoy 270 degree panoramic views of Beacon Rock, the Silver Star Mountains, as well as the rest of the Columbia River Gorge.

Participants on this hike should be in good physical condition.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
