Description

Reaching the the foot of the world's tenth highest mountain makes for quite the adventure. Our luxury Annapurna base camp trek combines all the sensations of heading out on a wilderness trek with as many comforts as possible along the way!

The adventure to Annapurna's base camp begins after you fly into Kathmandu. The following day, we will head to Pokhara either by flying or driving. Flying is faster, but the drive is incredibly beautiful and should not be missed.

From Pokhara, we will transfer to the foot of the conservation area and begin the the trek.

Over the course of our time trekking, we will head from village to village, enjoying sublime mountain views along the way and getting the chance to experience some of central Nepal's diverse landscapes, including river gorges and jungles.

As we get farther into the conservation area, we'll begin to see fewer and fewer signs of human civilization. At this point in the trek, expect to see more incredible natural beauty as well as some of the area's native wildlife, including wild pigs, deer, snow leopards and more.

Finally, we will reach Annapurna base camp and enjoy some simply spectacular views of the massif as well as the surrounding peaks. The following day, we'll be sure to get up early in order to enjoy a fantastic sunrise before beginning our descent.

On the way back, we'll visit the village of Ghandruk, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, before continuing on to Pokhara and returning to Kathmandu.

  • For group of 10 or more people the price is $2235/person. Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara are not included in the trip price.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

After flying into Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), you will meet one of our representatives and transfer to the hotel where we will go over our plans for the trip.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (833m)

We will make the 5 to 6 hour drive to Pokhara. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the area. There is also an option to fly (which takes 30 mins).

Day 3: Pokhara to Dhampus (1600m)

We will start the day by transferring to Phedi and spend the rest of the day trekking to Dhampus.

Day 4: Dhampus to Landurk (1565m)

We will start the day with a gradual ascent to Deurali (2100m) before descending through a jungle and hiking on to Landruk (all of which takes about 5 hours).

Day 5: Landruk to Chomrong (2170m)

We will follow the Modi River, gradually ascending into the highlands and passing several villages en route until we reach Chomrong. From here, we will get our first spectacular views of Annapurna.

Day 6: Chomrong to Dovan (2505m)

We start the day with a quick descent and then cross over the Chomroa Khola on a suspension bridge. Afterwards, we will steadily ascend up through some villages, climbing over stone steps and passing through a rhododendron forest, until we reach Dovan.

Day 7: Dovan to Deurali (3230m)

We will spend the day trekking through the Annapurna conservation area, enjoying the peace and quiet of the wilderness. After 4 hours of this, we will arrive at Deurali.

Day 8: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m)

We will get up early and hike to Annapurna base camp, passing waterfalls and enjoying scenic mountain views en route. We will plan to stay at the base camp.

Day 9: Annapurna base camp to Dovan

After getting up to see a truly sublime sunrise, we will spend the day hiking back down to Dovan.

Day 10: Dovan to Chomrong (2170m)

We will spend the day hiking from Dovan to Chomrong.

Day 11: Chomrung to Ghandruk (1939m)

We will descend briefly and then ascend again as we hike through the highlands toward Ghandruk. Once we arrive here, we will spend the afternoon exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site and enjoy a cultural show in the evening.

Day 12: Ghandruk to Pokhara

We will spend the day hiking down from Ghandruk to Nayapul then transfer on to Pokhara.

Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu

We will either drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure

You will transfer to the airport and fly home.
