Would you like to explore one of the best trekking routes in the Himalayas? Then this 13-day Annapurna Base Camp trek is the ideal program for you.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most famous in Nepal, and for good reason! The Annapurna region boasts breathtaking mountain views and wilderness areas, as well as typical local towns where you will experience the unique Nepali culture.  Furthermore, on this trekking program, you will have the chance to visit Pokhara, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Sinuwa, and Deurali, to name a few.

We will start our adventure from Kathmandu where we will meet and prepare for the days ahead. Then, we will set off to Pokhara and begin trekking from Nayapul. All throughout the following days, we will discover amazing rhododendron forests, beautiful mountain villages, sweet rushing rivers, and awe-inspiring views of the towering Himalaya mountains. Finally, on day 8, we will reach the famous Annapurna Base Camp. Then, we will begin our descent and have the chance to stop at the amazing Jhinu hot springs to recover from our trek before returning to Kathmandu where you will enjoy a unique live Nepali cultural show at a local restaurant.

  • • Cost raised by flight cancelation, emergency rescue charges, landslide, weather, political unrest, illness, rerouting etc which are not under our control.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu airport

Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu Welcome by Welcome Nepal Treks and Transfer to the hotel & briefing about program Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Drive to Pokhara [210km-5-6hr] [Optional: 30 min flight] Evening: free time to explore Phewa Lake and Pokhara.

Day 3: 1-hour drive to Nayapul by private car/van & trek to Tikhedhunga

We will drive to Nayapul in the morning, and start the trek from there. After preparing the luggage for the porters, we will set off an easy trail towards Birethanti along the River. A short check in formalities will take place at the ACAP office and the trail will take us towards Burundi Khola passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Tikhedhunga. Overnight at Tea house Lodge.

Day 4: Ghorepani trek

The long uphill to Ulleri which has 3200 stone steps and amazing views of the valley and Annapurna range await us. Then, after we stop to catch our breath, we will continue through a rhododendron forest which is the national flower of Nepal. After, we will continue uphill to Ghorepani which is on the top of the hill and boasts excellent views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Overnight at the tea house lodge.

Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill - back to Ghorepani, and trek to Tadapani

Early in the morning we will set off to catch the sunrise at Poon hill. The view of the shining mountains is great for taking pictures and after, we will descend to the lodge at Ghorepani for breakfast and the trek down to Tadapani. The beginning of the trek will take us through a steep uphill trail to a ridge, then we will stop at Deurali for a short break. After going through a forest, we will enjoy a short easy walk to the ridge and step down to a river to cross a bridge. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 6: Tadapani to Sinuwa [Altitude 2340m]

After walking down a forest for a while we will cross a suspension bridge at the bottom of a river and enjoy an easy walk after a short climb. The trail will take us to Chomrong and down a steep hill before climbing to Sinuwa. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 7: Sinuwa to Deurali [ Altitude 3230m]

We will start with an easy walk through a forest towards Bamboo and continue to climb up to Dovan. Then, the trail leads you through the valley towards the Himalaya where you may stop for lunch and continue towards Deurali. Overnight at tea house lodge

Day 8: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp [Altitude 4130m]

After climbing up through the valley to get to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, we will rest for an hour. If you have no problem climbing up we will continue to the Base Camp to spend the night, otherwise, we will continue resting. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 9: Base Camp to Bamboo [Altitude 2340m]

After our morning excursion, the trail will take us down through the same valley to Deurali and continue downhill through the forest until we reach Bamboo. Overnight at tea house lodge.

Day 10: Bamboo to Jhinu [Altitude 1780m]

After breakfast at the lodge, the trail leads uphill through some stone steps to the ridge and an easy walk to Sinuwa. Then the trail drops down to the bottom of the hill and continues up to Chomrong. After the lunch break at Chomrong will go down to Jhinu.

Once we get to the Guest House, we will have the chance to walk 15 minutes downhill to the bank of the river to relax in some amazing hot springs. According to Hindu Mythology, washing in these pools cleanses our spirits. After relaxing for a while we will climb back to the lodge where we will spend the night.

Day 11: Jhinu to Pokhara [Altitude 1640m]

You can go to the hot springs again in the morning and then trek down to Nayapul before driving back to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara Hotel.

Day 12: Drive/ back to Kathmandu

Drive/flight back to Kathmandu [Optional: 35 min flight]

Evening: Nepali dinner with a live cultural show at the Nepali restaurant [Complement]

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.

Transfer to the international airport for final departure.
