Would you like to participate in a stunning skiing adventure in the Andes? Then join me in Chile for a backcountry experience near Santiago!
Santiago, the capital of Chile and one of the largest cities in South America, is a popular tourist destination. Flanked by the main chain of the Andes and the Pacific Ocean, it offers quick and easy access to the best skiing areas of the country.
For this backcountry adventure, I will pick you up in Santiago and drive you around 50 kms to La Parva or Valle Nevado. Valle Nevado and La Parva are both part of the Tres Valles (Three Valleys) region, which also includes El Colorado resort. The mountains in this area receive top-quality snow during the winter, and offer many untracked areas to explore.
Depending on which of these two ski resorts we start from, we will climb either Cerro la Parva or Cerro el Pintor and find some amazing powder terrain. From then on, you will enjoy exciting descents on narrow couloirs and steep slopes! Furthermore, you can extend your adventure as many days as you like and make this experience even better!
Keep in mind that this trip requires you to have intermediate piste skiing skills. Additionally, you will need a good fitness level as we will have to carry our skis during the ascent. However, I can adapt the itinerary according to your abilities and wishes.
So, are you up for this thrilling winter adventure around Santiago? Then get in touch with me and let’s go backcountry skiing in the Andes!
