Description

The Bishorn (4,153 m) is a mountain located in Switzerland, just north of the Weisshorn. This 2-day trip is your opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable alpine adventure that combines mountaineering with easy skiing!

Mount Bishorn is usually tackled by outdoor enthusiasts looking for a first high altitude experience. It is suitable for beginners and its ascent offers amazing views of other huge peaks: Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn and Dent Blanche.

On this 2-day adventure we will face a long ascent to the Bishorn summit (4-5 hours) although without great technical challenges. After that, we will enjoy some easy skiing on awesome powder snow terrain. Easy however doesn’t mean short: a 2,500m continuous descent awaits!

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
