Resting in the Caribbean Sea soaking up the sun is Saint John, one of the United States Virgin Islands.
A tropical paradise, the island is home to pristine landscapes and vibrant wildlife. And not to mention its gorgeous sandy beaches and breathtaking ocean views.
Appearing to rise from the ocean is the 392-meter Bordeaux Mountain, which is the highest peak on the island of Saint John.
From the summit you’ll get to glimpse the beautiful landscapes that stretch for miles, creating the perfect vantage point.
In order to access these views from the vantage point, hiking the Bordeaux Mountain Trail presents a thrilling climb.
We’ll begin down by the Little Lameshur Bay that is located on the south coast. This marks the beginning of the 1.8-mile hike, marked by rugged terrain, open exposure to the warm sun, and sheltered sections to find shade.
Getting closer to the summit, we’ll pass through beautiful tropical forest with relatively steep and rock terrain.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
