Rock climbing is a fantastic activity. Fun and thrilling, scaling a rock wall not only gives you a great feeling, but allows you to get some great views, depending on where you are climbing. And on this full day trip, you will be climbing on some great rock walls in the Coast mountains of British Columbia, near Squamish. However, this trip is not just about climbing. Instead, the focus of this adventure will be rock climbing rescue. Our goal on this trip to teach you how to respond in the event of an accident, or any other unfortunate incident.
This course is designed for people who already have prior rock climbing experience, and wish to push themselves on more challenging options. Those options include multi-pitch climbing, trad climbing and alpine climbing. When climbing on more difficult rock walls, the risk of accident increases. Hence the need to know what to do in case such an accident occurs.
During this course, which will be intensive, we will cover a lot of different things. Some examples include how to escape a belay, rescue lowering, rappelling with a casualty, rope ascending, hauling, and much more.
I am confident that when this course is over, you will learn skills that could potentially save your life, or the life of a friend, during any future climbs.
So if you want to learn proper rock climbing rescue techniques, just send me a request. I would be happy to teach you some valuable skills in beautiful British Columbia.

I am an ACMG Rock Guide, I started guiding because I am very passionate about teaching people the technical side of climbing as well as the emotional achievements that come with challenging yourself and connecting with nature.
I have been climbing since I was a kid with my teddy bear clipped to my harness, and since then I have dedicated years to travelling, rock climbing, mountaineering, and improving my technical skills.
I have climbed El Capitan in Yosemite Valley 4 times, sent 5.12 in 5 different countries, and love combining the techniques from rock types around the world. I am also an Industrial Rope Access Technician and enjoy geeking out on the physics of rope systems.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
