Description

Definitely one of the most well known Spires in Canada, the Bugaboo Spire makes for an amazing climb. And for 3 exciting days, one of our guides would like to guide you up its northeast ridge.

The Bugaboo Spire is located in the Bugaboo provincial park, which rests in the Purcell mountains of British Columbia. The scenery around the spire is breathtaking, and the higher up you go, the more natural beauty you will get to admire.

Our trip will begin in Canmore. From there, we will drive to the provincial park. Once we are inside the par, you will get to enjoy a scenic hike until we reach the Kain hut (2,230m). This hut will be where you will be sleeping for the next 2 nights. Large and comfortable, the hut will provide you with all of the comfort necessary to relax and rest for the next day’s adventure.

On the second day of the trip, we will make our ascent of the Bugaboo northeast ridge. The climb, which will take all day, will involve a short glacier approach, 14 thrilling pitches, a summit traverse and a technical descent. Thus making the climb as varied as it is exciting. At the end of the day, we will return to the Kain hut.

On the final day, we will depart the hut and make our way back to our vehicles, before driving back to Canmore.

Exploring the Bugaboo provincial park, while climbing the incredible spire’s northeast ridge is a must for any climbing enthusiast. If you would like to experience it for yourself, just send us a request.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
