Description

Towering to 5,895  meters in elevation, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa and the easiest of all the Seven Summits to climb!

Combined with its stunning and diverse scenery, it's not a mystery why 30,000 visitors climb the mountain each year. Heading on a 7-day trek via the Shira Route is among the best ways to experience this enchanting part of the world!

The adventure begins right away, after we pick you up in Moshi. From here, we will transfer into the park and begin trekking through shrubs and heath to our first camp.

As the days progress, we will continue to approach Kilimanjaro via the Southern Circuit. Along the way, we pass through moorlands, verdant valleys and volcanic terrain. As we go, we'll get to see interesting volcanic rock formations, a unique subtropical forest and enjoy incredible views of Kilimanjaro.

The highlight of the trip will come toward the end: summit day. Waking up at midnight, we will climb in between two massive glaciers until we reach Stella Point. From here, we will enjoy a truly sublime sunrise over East Africa.

We will continue on to the Uhuru Peak and celebrate reaching the highest point on the Kilimanjaro massif!

After awhile spent up here, we will spend the next day and a half descending back to the gate and returning to Moshi.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this unforgettable 7-day ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro via the stunning Shira Route!

If you like the look of this trip then we think you may also enjoy our 8-day tour of the Serengeti and Zanzibar, also in Tanzania!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
