Description

Known as the teeth of the south, the Dents du Midi is a multi-summit mountain standing tall in the Alps of Switzerland. Positioned in the canton of Valais, it is definitely one of the most unique and stunning peaks in the area.

The trip will start in Champery. From there we will start exploring the incredible mountain. There is a lot to see and enjoy on and around the Dents du Midi. Hence why this adventure is for 5 days. And while the adventure focuses on the mountain itself, much of what you will get to see and admire on the tour is what surrounds the peak. From waterfalls, alpine lakes, valleys and glaciers to forests, passes and wildlife, there is an abundance of amazing things to see. Moreover, you will constantly be in a prime position to see other nearby peaks as well. Also, from the selection of huts you will get to choose from in the evenings, you will get to enjoy even more great views.

Along with the views, there will also be some climbs as well. For example, we will scale the Col du Jorat, as well as the Encel pass. While not exceptionally difficult, these climbs can be tough at points. As a result, you should be in good physical condition.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
