Description

Off-piste snowboarding in the Dolomites is a treat for anybody who loves winter activities. The scenery is beautiful, and the mountains offer countless spots to enjoy some great descents.

For a full day, beginning at approximately 8:30 am, you will get to enjoy the Dolomites’ slopes. And because this is an off-piste trip, you won’t have to worry about the long lines and crowds that come with skiing within the resort area.

A few examples of the amazing spots you will get to enjoy during this trip include the following.

  • Marmolada

  • San Martino di Castrozza

  • Sella Ronda

  • Cortina

  • Sass Pordoi

  • Sella Group

Each one of those spots offers a unique experience that you won’t soon forget long after the day is over at approximately 4:00 pm.

Another great aspect of this trip is that I will spend time instructing you on many important factors that are key to safe and successful off-piste snowboarding. I will instruct you on the avalanche safety equipment, including the shovel, probe and transceiver. I will also instruct you as to how to properly evaluate descents.

You should have some previous snowboarding experience to go on this trip. However, if you have that experience, it is open to anybody over the age of 12.

Do you want to off-piste snowboard around the gorgeous Dolomites of Italy? Then this is the trip for you. Just send me a request, and let me guide you. The descents await!

Would you like to enjoy a ski tour in the largest skiing area in the world, the Dolomiti Superski? If so, I can also guide you on this trip.

Participants should bring their own snowboard and boots. While you will be using a snowboard, I will be guiding you with skis on as I am a more proficient skier than snowboarder, which is important in case of any unforeseen accidents.

Mountain Guide

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Bruno, Patrick, Benedetta & Walter (German speaking). If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

ayant subit un accident le premier jour (fracture côte et clavicule) nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion de l'ensemble du programme. la suite semblait alléchante. le premier jour était majoritairement sur piste et avec remonte-pente.

Patrick lead our group of 4 expertly through the Sella Ronda in the Dolomites. He had a great knowledge of the lifts and terrain, and matched our abilities with the available runs. Communicated the day prior to confirm booking which gave us great comfort. Would highly recommend.

We skied 3-days wth Mara Martini, from Bernard's team, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! It was our first time in the Dolomites, and it was a great introduction to the area. Mara was able work with each of our group having different capabilities, and find the best areas for us to discover. Definitely look forward to skiing with Mara again! Thanks also to Explore Share platform and team, who enabled us to find the guide team for our holiday :)

Hi - unfortunately this trip did not really work out how we had envisaged it. Partly this was unavoidable due to the weather, avalanche risk and the snow conditions off piste being very poor. But we were very disappointed that having thought we were booking hut to hut trip where we would do lots of skiing in between, in reality we were just doing a trip where we separately (as in with a car ride across the ski village in between) hiked up to 2 different huts, stayed a night and then skied back down the way we had walked up. We appreciate that the conditions made things difficult but we felt that the guide Paolo could have been much more proactive in finding some patches of good snow, thinking about what a fun trip might be given the first plan was not possible. Rather than just defaulting to asking us what we wanted to do, and, as we did on Days 2 and 3, defaulting to skiing mainly on piste. On our 4th day, without Paolo, we managed to find some decent patches of snow to ski off piste in ... so they were there if he had made the effort to seek out and find them. Paolo was a nice guy and we appreciated his company, but we were maybe hoping for someone a bit more experienced and proactive who could ride with the challenges conditions threw at him still find interesting touring and off-pisteing to do. Just going up to a hut and back down twice is not what we had wanted/ felt we paid for. The Explore-Share service of finding the guide was fine, but the outcome did not live up to what we hoped. Thanks. Gordon 07867 801245

Paolo was an incredible guide. He was patient and knowledgeable and took us on some great terrain. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in free riding in the dolomites!
