Downhill mountain biking from Ajusco to Cuernavaca, Mexico

Less than 50 kilometers away from downtown Mexico City, Cumbres del Ajusco National Park boasts an expansive scenery and incredible natural beauty.

Along with the volcano, Ajusco, thick forests and magnificent views define this immensely beautiful national park.

One of the best ways to see Ajuso, as well as the surroundings, is on a mountain bike and that is exactly what we will do.

Starting from the national park, we will descend down well-maintained dirt tracks, enjoying incredible views of the volcano as well as the thick green forest that surrounds it, until we reach the valley below.

Passing through Tres Marías, we will continue to speed through the valley, taking in amazing views of the picturesque Mexican countryside that surrounds us.

Overall, we will cycle for 35 kilometers, none of which is particularly challenging, until we reach the idyllic little city of Cuernavaca.

The ride finishes with one last thrilling descent through another pine forest, before we arrive in the city and tuck in to a hot and delicious lunch, composed of various different Mexican delicacies.
