East Tyrol and Oberkärnten, in the Austrian Alps, offer fantastic ski areas with a great variety of deep snow and freeride facilities. I invite you to join me and enjoy a 4-day freeride skiing tour!
We will discover secret freeride spots and breathtaking runs, with cable cars, lifts and sometimes a short ascent. Most important, we will enjoy one of the most exciting ways to experience the winter mountain world!
East Tyrol is located on the south side of the Alps close to the border with Italy. Oberkärnten is located in the western part of Carinthia, the southernmost Austrian province.
I know all the secrets of this beautiful region and I will be more than happy to guide you along these days! We will experience pure wilderness in an amazing spot.
Also, only a few locals know the options in the East Tyrol ski resorts. By short ascents, we will find many variants possibilities. Besides, we will use the ski lifts of Zettersfeld, Grossglocknerresort, St. Jakob and Heiligenblut (Carinthia) as climbing aids.
We will stay in the the centrally located town of Lienz. It's an ideal base, from where we will be able to go to the best spots for freeride skiing. And almost all areas can be reached within half an hour drive.

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.
I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”
I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.
For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
