Description
Feel like going on a hike in a stunning alpine setting? Then this easy day trip in Zermatt might be just what you are looking for. Join me and discover many of this country’s incredible natural wonders.
During this one-day hike, we’ll discover astonishing lakes, charming small villages and the most beautiful landscapes in the country. Our adventure will start in the stunning mountain village of Zermatt and after a short walk, we will arrive at the spectacular Schwarzsee lake (1,046 m). From there, we’ll continue walking to Stafelalp and on our way, we’ll be shadowed by the iconic Matterhorn (4,478 m). Then, we’ll walk to the small village of Zmutt. Finally, we’ll finish this hiking expedition in the Edelweiss restaurant where we’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of Zermatt.
As we’ll be walking for about 3 or 4 hours and we’ll cover 8.4 km (5,2 miles) distances, all participants will need a good fitness level for this trip.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
