Description

On this amazing walking and hiking trip through the countryside of Punta Cana, you will witness the stunning beauty of the Dominican Republic alongside learning about the rich culture and history of this Caribbean country. Get ready to indulge in some meaningful interactions with the locals as you explore the rustic area on foot.

The trail leads to a tropical paradise with lush forests and ecologically farmed plantations. We’ll head on off-the-beaten tracks to soak in the ethnic vibe. There will be crystal clear springs and gushing streams on the way. We’ll hike to the top of a hill from where you’ll witness gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean.

You’ll spot several birds and animals on this tour including the iguanas, lizards, hummingbirds, hawks and vultures. We will walk through dense forests, crossing small streams and creeks on the way. And, it will be truly enriching to discover several fruit trees and medicinal plants that grow here.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana and drive you to the starting point of the tour. From there, you’ll find yourself navigating the valleys and mountains of Anamuya River and the city of El Bonao. It is an excellent way to experience the true essence of the country.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
