Description

Situated on the northernmost end of the mighty Sahara Desert, the Erg Chebbi Dunes make for an incredible destination to explore Morocco's diverse and stunning landscapes!

The fun begins after we meet in Marrakech and escape the city. From here, we will drive over Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2,260 meters/7,414 feet) and through the Atlas Mountains, visiting the the kasbah Teloue and hiking along the caravan tracks to kasbah at Ait Benhaddou.

By the end of the day, we will arrive at the edge of the majestic Sahara Desert and spend the evening relaxing.

The following day, we will head out to ‘The Valley Of The Roses’ and walk along the Dades River. Then in the afternoon, we head to the 300-meter deep (984 feet) Todgha Gorge, passing through the stunning Todgha valley en route.

The gorge is frequented by both rock climbers and filmmakers, meaning we're in for a rugged and scenic treat.

To finish off the day, we will ride camels into the desert to a nearby nomad camp, where we will enjoy the sunset of the Sahara and spend the night.

The following day, after getting up early to enjoy the sunrise, we will return to Marrakech and leave you at your hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Sahara

Tonight, we’ll stay at the Gateway To The Sahara, Ouarzazate in a riad or a comfortable hotel.
First, we will transfer you from Marrakech. We will pick you up from your accommodation and head out to the High Atlas Tizi-n-Tichka pass, at 2260m altitude. We’ll visit the kasbah Telouet and take the caravan tracks to the kasbah at Ait Benhaddou.
After an eventful day, you can relax at night on the edge of the Sahara.

Day 2: Ourzazate - Dades Gorges - Todgha Gorges - Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll take you out to see ‘The Valley Of The Roses’ with the River Dades running through the center.
When we leave, we’ll get some stunning views of the surroundings as we travel to Tinghir and the Todgha valley. Make sure you keep an eye on the traditional Berber huts and villages!
Our next destination is the dramatic 300-meter Todgha Gorge, a popular destination among rock climbers and occasionally even film-makers.
Afterward, we’ll set off for the village of Merzouga where we’ll be welcomed with a cup of mint tea and take time to rest
From there, we’re off into the desert! When we’re ready, we’ll ride our camels out into the dunes and catch the sunset before spending the night in a traditional nomad’s tent. Your dinner is included.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Marrakech

On this day, we’ll get up early to watch the desert sunrise among the dunes and to prepare for the day ahead.
We’ll trek back to the hotel with our camels and take a shower before we continue on with our adventure.
We’ll make a stop at Boumalne-Dades (via Rissani and Erfoud), and finally, we’ll return to Marrakech where you can spend the night in your hotel or riad.

Day 4: Marrakech
