Description

Would you like to discover one of the best trekking routes in Nepal? Then you can’t miss this amazing Everest Base Camp Trek in the Himalayas!

The Everest Base Camp trek, also known as EBC, is a Himalaya classic. As its name suggests, it takes place on the stunning Mount Everest, which is the world’s highest mountain. However, it is not a trek to the top of Everest, but to its base camp, which lies at an altitude of  5,364 m (17,598 ft). On the way, the stunning Nepalese mountain towns and beautiful valleys are a feast for the senses.

Where does the Everest Base Camp Trek start?

On this program, we will set off from Kathmandu where we will have the chance to spend some time exploring emblematic landmarks of the city. Then, we will set off to Lukla where the actual trekking begins. On the way, we will visit emblematic local spots such as Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, Debuche and more. Furthermore, we will also take the time to properly acclimatize so that the altitude doesn’t affect you. You can find a detailed Everest Base Camp trek itinerary below.

How hard is the Everest Base Camp Trek?

Please keep in mind that although we will not climb to the Everest summit, this is a challenging trek. Therefore, it is important that you have a good fitness level. Of course, we will be there to help and guide you on the way.

Best time to do the Everest Base Camp Trek

Anytime outside monsoon season (July and August, mainly) is a good time to do the EBC, however, if you want to catch the rhododendrons in full bloom, then join us during the Himalaya spring, during March, April, and May. Also, keep in mind that the winter months (January and February) can be very cold up in the mountain!

So, are you ready to go on one of the best treks in the Himalayas? Then contact us now and let’s start planning an unforgettable adventure!

Or, if you prefer a more remote Himalaya trekking route, you can join us on this unique Upper Mustang program!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
