Description

Annapurna Panorama Trek offers a 360° wide-angle view of the snowcapped peaks of the Annapurna massif. For 10 days, you’ll walk through lush valleys, mountain villages and trails surrounded by rhododendron and fir trees, so come join us on this amazing adventure!

This moderate trek will take you to through the massive Annapurna Himal range and is suitable for both newbies and seasoned hikers. If you have a fit body and a high spirit, you are just fine to join us!

The trip will begin in the capital city of Kathmandu and from there, we’ll head to Pokhara. You’ll appreciate the beautiful Phewa Lake in Pokhra before beginning the trek. Next, passing via Nayapul and Tikheghunga, the trail leads all the way to Ghorepani. Meandering through an alpine forest you’ll cross many villages and see the lifestyle of Gurung, Poon and Magar people as you move ahead.

The route offers striking views of the high peaks of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Manaslu ( 8,163 m) and Annapurna (8,091) along with an array of other majestic peaks. Also, there is this special treat of a spectacular sunrise from the Poon Hill (3,210 m), a spectacle you’ll remember for life!

You will also get to walk through the ancient trans-Himalayan salt trade route between Nepal and Tibet and it will be interesting to know how the traders used to commute via the route in the past. Along with all these attractions, the trek also includes a visit to the natural hot springs at Tatopani and Jhinu Danda. You sure can take a refreshing dip in the healing waters at both the places to ward off the exhaustion from the hike.

Before heading back to Pokhara, Naya Pul will be our last stop and we’ll finally return to Kathmandu, ending this amazing journey.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Preparation for Trekking Overnight at Hotel

We’ll pick you up from Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer you to your hotel and brief you about the trek.

Day 2: Drive or Fly to Pokhara 850m - 06 Hrs Journey Distance 220 KM

We’ll transfer you to Pokhara valley to your respective hotels close to beautiful Phewa Lake and you can spend the afternoon taking short walks. (For flying option, a 30 minutes flight to Pokhara).

Day 3: Drive From Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga

Covering 42 km from Prithvi Chowk, crossing the beautiful Lumle village, we’ll get to Nayapul (1050m). The Poonhill sunrise trek starts from Nayapul.

Following the Modi River, we will walk past a forest of blooming rhododendron and cross a small stream. Passing by Birethanti, we’ll get to Tikhedhunga.

Day 4: Tikhedhunga Trek to Ghorepani 2,874 m 5-6 Hrs

Steep trek for about 2hrs will take us to Ulleri (2070m). Next, we’ll cross the Magar village of Banthanti from where we can get spectacular views of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m).

After cross the small river and climbing Nangethanti, we’ll finally arrive at Ghorepani from where we’ll see soaring views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other mountains.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Poonhill Viatadapani 2,721 M 6-7 Hr

Starting early, we’ll trek to Poonhill  to see a spectacular sunrise over Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (729m), Nilgiri (6940m), Tukuche (6920m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other peaks.

We will return to the hotel in Ghorepani for breakfast and then take the descending trail to Tadapani village.

Day 6: Tadapani Trek to Ghandruk 1,750 M 5-6 Hrs

3 hrs of easy walk through a forest of oak, rhododendron and other alpine flowers will take us to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a large Gurung village and you’ll see striking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and other mountains from here. Homestay in Ghandruk will be a pleasant experience. We will be welcomed by the locals with Khada and traditional dance.

Day 7: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1780m) 4 to 5 Hrs

A 4 hr steep downhill will take us to Jhinu Danda where we’ll go for a hot bath in the natural hot spring.

Day 8: Trek to Naya Pul and Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, a 4 hr walk will take us to Naya Pul from where, we’ll drive you to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 9: Drive or Fly to Kathmandu 6 to 7 Hrs

Today, we’ll drive you to Kathmandu. (For flying option, a 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu).
