Situated in the western reaches of the iconic Himalayan Mountains, Fairy Meadows is widely considered one of Pakistan’s most beautiful places. This lush high plateau, which sits in the north of the country, at the foot of the stunning Nanga Parbat peak, also makes for an incredible trekking destination.
Over the course of our six days together, we will head from the city of Islamabad into the mountains and hike through this gorgeous valley and up to the Nanga Parbat base camp. Along the way, we will enjoy stunning views of various snow-capped Himalayan peaks, thick evergreen forests and the luscious green valley. We may even get the chance to see some of the local wild horses too.
Starting from a village in the valley, we will walk several hours each day, steadily gaining altitude. At one point, we will have the option to summit one of the various peaks surrounding the valley – either Jillipur Peak (5,206m) or Buldar Peak (5,602m) – in order to get even more great views of the surroundings. After reaching the base camp, we will slowly hike back down out of the valley and on to another town. To finish off the trip, we will enjoy a local meal, listen to some music and dance in celebration.

Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: Rawalpindi to Chilas
After meeting up in Islamabad, we will either fly to Gilgit, or if we are unable to fly, we will spend the day driving to Chilas. We will spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 2: Chilas to Fairy Meadows
After waking up at 7 am, we will continue driving to the Tato Village, from which we will gear up and begin hiking for about two hours on a fairly easy grade.
Day 3: Fairy Meadows to Beyal Camp
We will trek for two hours until we reach Beyal Camp. After that we have the day free, with the option to climb Jillipur Peak (5,206m) or Buldar Peak (5,602m).
Day 4: Nanga Parbat Base Camp to Fairy Meadows
We will complete the trek early in the morning, arriving at Nanga Parbat Base Camp. Afterwards, we will hike back into the Fairy Meadows, where we will enjoy a traditional dinner, as well as music and dancing.
Day 5 to 6: Departure
The last two days of the trip will be spent returning back to Islamabad, via either Naran or Besham, depending on weather conditions.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
