Join me in Fallbach via ferrata, a great, adventurous and very challenging via ferrata close to the highest waterfall in theregion of Kärnten/ Maltatal.
With it’s extreme exposure, it’s demanding trails and the stunning view of the waterfall this route is one of the most special ones in Austria!
It’s a professionally built via ferrata and the difficulty level increases continuously- especially in the second part after a bridge. Therefore there is an emergency exit at "Felskanzel“.
The sportive, well trained adventure seekers will be rewarded big time! But keep in mind this via ferrata is absolutely not suitable for beginners or children. There's an easier alternative, the so called "Luft unter den Sohlen“ with a beautiful view to Millstättersee.
The requirements to join this trip are to have experience doing via ferrata "Level D“, and a good physical shape is absolutely necessary! Also, be Free from vertigo and have Sure- footedness.
The itinerary for the day will start with a 15 min walk to get to the entrance. The via ferrata in itself will take 2-3 hours to overcome a 250m altitude. To finish, we will have 25-30 min hike way back. Total altitude 300m Total duration 3-4 hours.
Contact me if you are interested in this challenging Fallbach via ferrata in Kärnten/Maltatal region!
If you are looking for rock climbing in the area, I also offer a guided Rock climbing day near Salzburg and Kärnten.

Mountain Guide
Growing up in Salzburg's Lungau, Austria, my enthusiasm for the mountains has been rooted in me since childhood.
In winter, I passionately lead my guests on ski tours or show them the best runs while skiing off-piste. In later season I’m guiding in Norway (Lyngen/Senja). And another great passion is ice climbing on frozen waterfalls.
In summer I like to be out and about on rocks and ice in my local mountains but also abroad.
I look forward to go on tour together with you!

Klaus was a phenomenal guide. He was very experienced, extremely friendly and was an excellent teacher for multi-pitch rock climbing. He was able to push me through my mental limits without pressure and while always having our safety in mind and taught me everything I needed to know for my own multi-pitch adventures. In summary, Klaus was a phenomenal guide all around and I would recommend him to all my friends and family without a second thought! Thank you Klaus for your expert guidance and for giving me a once in a lifetime experience!

The whole experience was hard work seriously hard work. I had trained for months, but the pace we moved at, I did struggle at times and made mistakes. The weather will determine the pace you move because its your Guides job to help get you up and down safely, so be prepared. The Altitude did have an affect as well. Klau our guide was professional and did a marvellous job getting us up and down.
