**This is a 6-day ski touring trip in the Silvretta Alps, on the border between Switzerland and Austria.**

In this territory there are many peaks over 3000 meters, and the highest one is **Piz Buin (3312 m)**.

Most of the glaciers are facing the north, and offer a perfect terrain to be travelled by ski; this exposure usually guarantees good snow conditions.

Actually, Silvretta has a good reputation because of the **snow quality and quantity.** Most of the time it's easy to find good powder snow. Also, because of the wide of the glacier you can often have the possibility to make your own track.

In all the five valleys of the range, there are nice and confortable **mountain huts**, giving the possibility to organice interesting ski traverses.

This trip is ideal for those who already have a small experience in ski touring, but want to improve their skills and challenge themselves.

You will need a small experience in skinning, but you have to be already good in skiing of piste in all kind of snow with a relatively heavy back pack.

Every day the vertical ascent is around 1000 meters, so a bit of training is necessary to enjoy the experience.

Our departure point is the small hamlet of **Guarda**. It is a very typical village from **Engadina**, placed on a sunny slope and surrounded by grass fields and forests.

We go on public transport (bus and train) to Scuol – lifts up to the **Piz Champatsch** (2800 m) – after a short ski down we skin up to the **Piz Faschalba** (3048 m) – ski down to the **Jamtalhutte** (2165 m).

Departure from the **Jamtalhutte** (2165 m) – skin up to the **Gemsspitze** (3017 m) or the **Jamspitze** (3156 m) – ski down to the **Jamtalhutte** (2165 m)

The **Kitzbühel Alps** offer various options for enthusiasts of ski touring. With an efficient lift system, little effort is required to reach largely untouched peaks and valleys just a few hundred meters above the sea level.

Alternatively, if you are fit enough, we can go and reach these areas without the help of lifts. The vast area offers plenty of room for individual mountain experiences. Beginners as well as experienced skiers will have fun there.

The mountain pastures and grass vegetation grow up to the summit of each mountain. This means that perfect snow conditions can be enjoyed with a snow depth of just 50cm.

Ski touring amateurs will appreciate the good visibility and relatively low alpine dangers of the Kitzbuhel Alps.

We can leave together for one or several days and enjoy the beauty of this area which I know very well ! If we go for several days we can to a hut to hut trip going where nobody goes.

**Join me to enjoy this ski touring program in Vorarlberg (Montafon/Bregenzerwald) to ski some of the best spots for winter sports in Austria.**

**The Austrian state of Vorarlberg is** a fantastic place for winter holidays. In fact, it is full of some truly great skiing areas. Those who enjoy the pleasure of ski touring will love Vorarlberg since it offers **plenty of ski tours of every level of difficulty.**

Going together, there is plenty to choose from. Whether it is tours on slopes of former skiing areas if you simply want to try this sport, short tours on rather plain terrain, or challenging high alpine tours, demanding every grain of power!

Ski touring is my passion and this **Trans Austrian Alps ski week** is one of my favourites! Join me for an adventurous journey having plenty of fun.

This is the ultimate ski touring challenge, and it's only for **experienced ski alpinists**. I usually organize this tour for one week each year. Besides, I take only small groups of up to 4 people with me. During these intense days, we traverse the Eastern Alps from East to West on our skis!

Some of the spots we will traverse are: **Schneeberg**, **Rax**, **Schneealpe**, **Veitsch**, **Hochschwab**, **Hohe** **Lins**, **Leobner** and more. In fact, we can make the list even longer if the level is good enough!

For this trip I require the following things:  
– Good condition for up to 2000 meters of altitude change per day  
– Good skiing and some alpine experience  
– Taking light equipment  
– Willingness to spend a night at low comfort

**Mount Grossglockner is the highest summit in Austria with an elevation of 3798 m. It is also the highest mountain in the Alps east of the Brenner Pass.**

Climbing this famous peak is on the wish list of many mountaineering amateurs. And after one look at this magnificent peak it is not difficult to see why. It is definitely up there in terms of beauty, and I believe is every bit as iconic as other peaks in the **Alps** like the **Matterhorn (4,478m)** and **Mont Blanc (4,808m)**.

The ascent of the great **Grossglockner takes 2 days**. And each day will definitely provide you with a series of unforgettable views, as well as giving you a truly memorable climbing experience. The grade of the route we will be taking is **PD+ (Peu difficile + / UIAA class 2).**

On our way to the summit, we will pass through several amazing spots including **Glocknerleitl**, **Kleinglockner**, and **Glocknerscharte.** And when we reach the summit, you will get to see its famous summit cross.

During the **summer season (June to September)**, the climb to the summit of the **Grossglockner** is possible any day of the week, as the **mountain huts are open during that time**. But if you want a less crowded climb, if possible, try to avoid the weekends, as that is when mountaineers come from around the world to reach the great summit.

We will hike up to Erzherzog Johann Hut, which is the highest mountain refuge of the country, where we will spend the night.

**Join me for a 3-day freeride ski course in the stunning Tyrol, in particular in Stubai.** 

Freeride or off-piste skiing is practiced using the lifts and then skiing down along gullies, valleys and forests in search of fresh powder snow, pristine white places in a charming winter environment.

Together, we can try the various cornering techniques outside the groomed slopes, improving your ski technique, without neglecting safety aspects.

**This 3-day freeride skiing trip in Stubai is ideal for those who want to experience off-piste skiing away from traditional slopes and too crowded spots.** It is also aimed at those who want to go in the future ski touring and be confortable in the powder snow.

Taking advantage of the lifts, you can ski many vertical meters and repeat several times the exercises. To join this 3-day course you must have a medium technical ski level ski.

I usually organize ski trips in Stubai in December, when the snow is the best. It is of course possible to go later. It will depend on the conditions.

I have been working in the **Arlberg area** which includes the resorts of **St Anton**, **Lech-Zürs** and **Warth-Schröckenfor**, for many years. My objective is to take you to the best freeride / off piste skiing spots on any given day and support you in pushing your limits and develop your backcountry skills while making sure that you enjoy maximum safety.

From December to the end of season, days and weeks can be booked. For private groups only, for beginners or advanced backcountry skiers. I am glad to let you discover the amazing terrains of Sankt Anton and the other resorts of Arlberg.

I’ll share my knowledge so you’ll learn and improve. I will challenge you beyond what you thought possible and under my guidance you’ll experience a world of unlimited ski adventure.

I will take up to 6 skiers with me. The day usually starts at 9am and finishes at 4pm.

The ski lifts can be used to go up to 1500 vertical meters of skiing with only 500 meters of skinning.

**The Kaiser Mountains in the Tyrol is one of my favorite rock climbing spots in Austria**. They are a mountain massif in the North and the East of the Alps. The range consists of two main mountain ridges, the **Zahmer Kaiser** to the north and the **Wilder Kaiser** to the south.

The Wilder Kaiser near the small town of Sankt Johann in Tyrol is according to me, one of the best mountain ranges for rock climbing in the Alps. You may have heard about these famous places: **Totenkirchl**, **Predigtstuhl** and **Fleischbank-Ostwand**.

I guide you there on high-quality limestone climbs in a spectacular setting, ranging from easy ridges to extremely difficult and long walls.

The best period to go rock climbing in Wilder Kaiser goes from Mid-May till November. We can go there together for one or several days. Based on your wishes, your rock climbing level, and the time you have, I will define a program and the climbing routes/walls that match your desires.

In order to maximize the safety and make sure I can have enough time and attention for each of you, I will take only 2 people with me. If you are a larger group, a friend of mine, IFMGA mountain guide as well, will join us.

Rock climbing in the Wilder Kaiser can be combined with some hiking or even via ferrata, including for the very beginners.

For decades, Kitzbuehel has been known as a Freeride Eldorado. Powder fans and deep snow freaks from all around the world come here to enjoy some fantastic skiing.

I invite you in this occasion to a **beautiful ski touring trip**. Indeed, when I say beautiful it's because we will be ski touring on some **stunning glaciers of the Venediger mountain group of the High Tauern**. In fact, we will not be far from Mount Grossglockner, the highest peak of **Austria**.

During the trip we will be based in 2 different mountain huts: Essener **Rostocker Hut** (2208m) and **Johannishütte** (2121 m). From there we will explore every day the mountains surrounding us. These are excellent spots for ski mountaineering / ski touring.

The difficulty is medium to difficult. There are some steep slopes. Each day we will ascend between 1100 and 1500 meters and walk 3-5 hours.

In the itinerary below, you can find the many possibilities of this trip. This includes, on the last day, the **Grossvenediger** (3667m), which is the highest peak in the High Tauern.

Journey to Ströden in Virgental and ascent to Essener Rostocker Hut (2207m). If you want, we can partly send our luggage up to the hut by ropeway after about 250m ascending (EUR 3,50 per piece). With good conditions we could make the ascent to the hut towards a great tour: Southern or Middle Malhamspitze or Rostocker Eck.

According to the snow and weather conditions, physical level and desires of the participants, we can choose among several options that all provide great experiences and wonderful descents in the snow covered glacier world of the Southern Venediger-region! These are: Middle Malhamspitze (3364m), Dreiherrenspitze (3499m), Simonyspitzen (3440 and 3488m), Maurerkeeskopf (3281), and more.

The best option is the ascent to Großer Geiger (3360m), we can then ski down to Johannis-Hut.

The highest peak in the glacier-crown of High Tauern is our goal for the last day: the Grossvenediger (3667m) with its long ascent and based on the conditions, different great and rewarding descents! Afterwards we ski down into the valley and start our homeward journey.
