Description

Looking for a family adventure this winter? This snowshoeing trip to the Sierra de Guadarrama, Spain is the perfect plan.

Sierra de Guadarrama is a stunning natural park in Spain, beautiful year round. Nonetheless, winter is probably my favorite season in the area, where the pristine white snow turns this place into a magical wonderland.

For this exciting excursion, we’ll meet at Puerto de Navacerrada early in the morning. There, I’ll give you your snowshoeing equipment and teach you the basics for moving in the snow. Then, we’ll go to Los Tres Cogorros, unless the weather conditions force us to choose another spot. Once on site, you’ll be able to put into practice what you learned at the meeting place and build your own igloo!

This trip has been especially planned for kids of all ages. The route is not hard and we will play some fun games along the way. The kids will also take back a field notebook that they can show off at school on Monday.

Book your trip now and get ready to have an unforgettable day with your family!

If you can’t get enough of snowshoeing, I also offer a snowshoeing adventure at Peñalara Glacial Cirque.

What people are saying about Pedro

Pedro was so knowledgeable about the area, and graciously answered all our questions, even those unrelated to the hike. He was very kind in picking us up from Madrid for a small fee. He also took a bunch of photos of my husband and I during the trek, which I really appreciated since those are our only pictures together from our trip to Spain. I'd definitely recommend Pedro to anyone traveling to Madrid and interested in experiencing nature outside the city.
