Description
Join me to explore three different glacial valleys in the gorgeous Chaltén region of Patagonia.
In this trek, you will enjoy the most beautiful views of the Fitz Roy and Torre range from different angles, as we walk through stunning valleys eroded by glaciers.
We will start at the Eléctrico valley, from where we will witness the recent passage of glaciers. Then, we will head to the Rio Blanco valley, which boasts an impressive Lenga tree forest and is home to the Fitz Roy range and its beautiful Piedras Blancas glacier. Finally, we will continue on to Cerro Torre valley and Grande glacier. We will climb up a recent moraine and have Torre lake at our feet.
No experience is required to join this tour, but being in good physical shape is recommended. We will camp out in the forest. You will only need to carry your personal gear.

Itinerary
Day 1: Eléctrico Valley
We will trek along this beautiful valley, with amazing views of the Marconi and Pollone glaciers, as well as of lakes and lagoons. We will camp at Piedra del Fraile.

Elevation gain/loss: +500m/-500m
Time: 7hs
Day 2: Rio Blanco Valley
This day will offer us impressive views of the Fitz Roy massif as we walk through a Lenga forest, passing in front of the Piedra Blanca glacier. Then we'll ascend to Laguna de Los Tres, and enjoy an incredible view of Fitz Roy and the surrounding glaciers. We´ll spend the night at Poincenot.

Day 3: Cerro Torre Valley
After breakfast, we will start our journey to the valley passing through the Madre e Hija lagoons, and enjoy the flora and fauna that surround us. We will get to Laguna Torre, from where we´ll see Glaciar Grande and the Torre range. Finally, we will go back to El Chalten.

The guide, Daniel, sent us a message cancelling the trip one day before due to “bad weather”. We didn’t get it because the weather was perfect. We asked for the refund and he told us to look for Explore Share, but to our surprise, the trip was reported as being “successfully completed” in the dashboard, even though THE TRIP NEVER HAPPENED.
