As for the trek adventure, it will start in Sagarmatha National Park, a protected natural area in the Himalayas.
In the surroundings of the small town village of Gokyo, we’ll explore some places in this valley like the Gokyo Lakes and the amazing Gokyo Ri viewpoint.

I’m one of the few IFMGA certified guides in my country and will be glad to share with you the beauty of the Himalaya, as well as our culture, history and traditional food.
I have been climbing since 1996, starting on the 8000m mountains in the Himalaya. I'm one of the few IFMGA/NNMGA certified mountain guides (Instructor) from south Asia, gaining my qualification from the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) & Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).
I have successfully guided on Mt Everest on multiple occasions, and other 8000m peaks such as Mt Cho-oyu (8,201m) (3 times), Sisha Pangma (8,013m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,515m) and many more.
I have have also a strong international climbing experience and extensive knowledge of the logistics, planning and group dynamic that are also very crucial to successfully lead adventures in the Himalaya and around the world. I guided in New Zealand, Norway, France, Scotland, Thailand, Bhutan, Pakistan, India and Tibet. I'm also a rescue expert and a technical trainer for the mountain guides training.
I very much like guiding my clients in remote places, where no tourist goes. I like also discovering new routes and peaks. Please have a look to the different trekking and mountaineering expeditions I propose and contact me if you want to discuss about them. I can of course also guide you in more 'classic' routes, just get in touch with me and let's talk about your wishes!
I work together with a team of certified and professional mountain and trekking guides. If I'm not available to guide you, one of my colleagues will take great care of you.

I had an amazing experience with Tshering’s experienced and highly qualified team including guide Sonam Shalaka and Sherpa Thomas Vechayba. I really enjoyed the concept of acclimating for Ama Dablam by doing the Everest Base Camp trek via Gokyo Lakes and climbing a number of peaks along the way, including Lobuche, rather than the typical repetitive climbs from base camp. It is always my preference to climb with local guides who intimately know the mountain and local customs and this was a perfect example of the benefits of that rather than going with a large group of westerners. Explore-Share always does a great job of facilitating those connections. This was an outstanding experience all around and I would gladly recommend Tshering and his team for any mountaineering experience in the Himalayas.

I would definitely recommend booking with Tshering’s company, Top Himalaya Guides! He is very welcoming and due to his extensive experience with the mountains, he can help you with all the arrangements and any questions or other service requests you have. Due to his recommendation, we were able to change my itinerary to something that I wouldn’t have wanted to miss out on! He also provided excellent staff, my guide Namja was very experienced and qualified, which made me feel super safe in the mountains at all times. I can only look back on an incredible trip! Already looking forward to the next!

I can't say enough about Top Himalaya Guides (THG)! Extremely knowledgeable and experienced guides with a genuine passion for the mountains. Our lead guide Sonam did a great job of managing expectations and ensuring that we stayed healthy and happy throughout the expedition. We were fortunate to summit all of our objectives including Ama Dablam, which was an experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend THG for any Himalayan experience and will definitely be using them again when I return to Nepal!!

My self and two friends planned a trip to Everest region in December 2014. We were recommended Tshering of Tormod Granheim, a Norwegian who has been at Mt. Everest with Tshering. With ski ... Our trip was far far less demanding than that. But no less reason to be very pleased with Tshering. We walked from Lukla, to Namche Bazar, further to Everest View Hotel and then finally we reached our goal; Varak Peak. 4,618 meters above sea level. Tshering is in addition to being a pleasant companion also well known and experienced guy. Especially fun is it to be with him in this region where he knows "all" the local people. We had good days in the mountains, and were also lucky with the weather. To see Mt. Everest both in sunset and sun rice is amazing!

I am planning an expedition to Ama Dablam in 2016, I choose Tshering, because I met him in Norway and had a conversation with him. He then suggested that we could train together in Norway before I go to Nepal. We have done some climbing on glacier, some rock climbing and alpine ascents in Norway and I will never regret that I choose him and his company. He seems very professional and he is a very good instructor. Looking forward going to Nepal.

Tshering and his company was our guides during our Medical Aid Mountaineering trip in October 2014. Their way of preparing the trip, handling the challenges underway, securing our safety, including us in the process and taking care of us, in addition to sharing their knowledge of their culture and the Himalayas, was fantastic! I have been in the Himalayas in different countries and with other companies, but this company and Thsering was the best so far! Especially his knowledge about safety and climbing was essential for us as we where there during dangerous times, but his decisions got us safely through. In addition to that he and the rest of his guides where nice, open and smiling people, that we could laugh, have fun, enjoy the landscape and culture with, to the full! I would recommend him and his company to anyone travelling in the Himalayas and other places they arranged trips. Jimmy Westerheim
