Description
The Narvik region offers an unparalleled variety of ski touring experiences on this 3-day adventure. Within just over an hour’s travel from the city, you can access nearly 100 ski touring summits, many starting at sea level and reaching heights of 1500 meters. The region is known for its coastal landscapes and high mountain terrain, offering incredible views and reliable snow conditions.
Narvik is a lively town with hotels, restaurants, cinemas, and nightclubs, plus Narvikfjellet Ski Resort just a short walk from the city center. The resort is set to host the Alpine World Championships in 2029, bringing exciting developments to the area.
The terrain around Narvik is incredibly varied, allowing us to adjust to changing weather and snow conditions. From tree skiing in low-visibility weather to higher summits when snow conditions are poor at sea level, we’ll always find the best terrain. And with Sweden’s high mountains just a short distance away, we can often find better weather by crossing the fjords.
Some of the Ski Touring Options:
- Spanstinden: A classic tour with an incredible final section leading to the summit, offering breathtaking views over several fjords.
- Stetinden: A historic mountain with various ski touring options, combining scenery and Norwegian climbing history.
- Rombakstøtta: A classic summit with stunning views, offering relatively easy skiing with a few sections requiring hand use.
- Tredjetoppen: Lift-accessed terrain with great backcountry options and varying levels of difficulty.
- Loktačohkka: A Swedish mountain with a variety of routes, often combined with a lunch stop at Låktatjåkkastugan cabin, famous for its delicious waffles.
Over the course of this 3-day trip, you’ll experience the best of what Narvik has to offer for ski touring enthusiasts.

The event is insured under the liability insurance of the organizer, but each participant is strongly encouraged to have a personal insurance/travel insurance to cover any damages or injuries that may happen.
