Half-day hike under giants Redwoods on the Limekiln Trails in Big Sur, CA

Come out to Big Sur, California for an unforgettable hiking experience in the redwoods!

We'll meet up in the morning and make our way to the trails in Limekiln State Park, where we'll have three trails to explore. All of the going is pretty easy, but in order to access the waterfall, we will need to do a bit of scrambling.

Depending on what you would like to do, we can start with any of the hikes. One of the trails leads out into Hare Canyon. Here, we will be able to see some of the largest and oldest redwood trees in the park!

Another trail, which is the toughest of the three, leads up to Limekiln Falls. This trail will require a bit of scrambling up a stream bed, but is not too difficult and well worth the effort.

The trail to the 30-meter high waterfall takes you through some more redwood trees and leaves you with a spectacular view out over the limestone falls.

The final trail leads to the old kiln. It is a bit less scenic, but seeing it is still quite spectacular in its own right. The half-day adventure finishes with a quick trip across the road to see the Pacific Ocean before returning to the  parking lot.
