Half-day Riding in Shiga Kogen with FWQ snowboarder Go Biyajima

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride with a top freeride snowboarder? Join a group for this half day session in Shiga Kogen and experience the best of this resort in the company of a pro.

The Shiga Kogen ski resort is located in Nagano, Japan, and it holds the largest ski area in the country. Although it has been a popular local ski and snowboard destination for many years, its world fame arrived in 1998 with the Nagano Winter Olympics. However, the resort continues to have a strong Japanese identity, which is a big plus in my opinion! I particularly like the laid back atmosphere in Shiga Kogen.

The snowboard terrain in the resort is extremely varied, with many options for all levels. With 19 ski areas covering 600 hectares of terrain and great connections between them, it will be a wonderful playground for this half day snowboarding. Its inland location means that, if the conditions are good, we will enjoy amazing dry powder.

I am a professional snowboarder, ranking number 2 in the Freeride World Qualifier competition. It would be my pleasure to share a fun morning or afternoon with the group, sharing with you some pro tips that I think can make all the difference!

As I am not a certified guide, we will stay within the boundaries of the ski resort. Although going completely off-piste is not an option, we may pick a line through the trees, ride powder or moguls… There is plenty of room to be creative! I look forward to showing you my favourite spots of the resort.

To join this group you need to be at least an intermediate snowboarder, able to know your limits and descend safely without assistance. That will be the way the group can have the most fun!
