Do you want to spend an exciting half day skiing in the Sapporo area with an expert? I would love for you to join me in this beautiful place, full of first class skiing options.
I am a top ranking skier in the Freeride World Qualifier, amongst the top 100. When I’m not taking part in competitions, I greatly enjoy skiing with snow lovers in my favourite destinations. However, keep in mind that I am not a certified guide, so this program is not intended to be a ski course. Rather, it is a unique opportunity to have a fun afternoon learning first-hand how a professional skis, and learning some pro secrets to enjoy your days in the mountain even more.
Sapporo is located in the island of Hokkaido in Japan. I know the region like the back of my hand as I have been skiing there since I was 6 years old. Although I have tried skiing all over the world, Sapporo will always hold a special place in my heart. This is where the freeride world opened up to me, full of opportunities. There are options for all levels as the terrain is varied and the snow is ideal throughout the season. However, keep in mind that you should be able to connect turns and safely descend intermediate level slopes without assistance.
There are several ski resorts around Sapporo. Sapporo Teine is the largest of them, and I also really like Kiroro and Sapporo Kokusai. We can spend half a day in one of them, or just let me know if you had another one in mind. Furthermore, we can explore surrounding tree runs, terrain parks and more! Although mountains in Sapporo are not the highest in Japan, they definitely offer some of the best fresh snow. In fact, snowfall is abundant during the season, providing amazing powder almost every day.
I am excited to share half a day in this great skiing terrain with you. Request to book this trip and we will plan the perfect ski session. If you have more time available, please have a look at this longer option in the same region.

I was born in Tokyo but have been based in Whistler, BC in Canada since high school. I moved in order to compete more regularly in Junior freeriding competitions. At the moment, I am traveling around the globe as I compete in the FWQ Tour. I am currently ranked 3rd in Japan.
In my spare time, I enjoy sharing my passion for freeriding with anyone and everyone who is interested in winter sports, including children. I love seeing people discover freeriding and realize how accessible it actually is.
When I am home in Japan, I typically ride in Hakuba and Echigo Yuzawa, as well as Sapporo and Asahidake in Hokkaido. I have been skiing around Hokkaido since I was 6 years old, and this is the place that first opened my eyes to freeriding. I would love to share it with you.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
