Join me on a heliboarding day on the Trient Glacier and enjoy amazing descents surrounded by spectacular scenery! This trip is the perfect option for snowboarders and skiers looking for an adventure far away from the crowds.
Lying in the Swiss side of the famous Mont Blanc Massif, the Glacier du Trient -or Trient Glacier– is one the best heliboarding and heliskiing spots in Europe and one of the most wonderful skiing locations in Switzerland!
Our drop-off point is at 3300 metres high, on the Col des Plines, to the south of the Trient Refuge. You will get to enjoy amazing descents of all levels of difficulty. Also, there are some skinning options for those riders looking to discover off-the-beaten-path itineraries.
The standard descents are from Saleinaz Glacier to the village of Praz de Fort; from the Val d’Arpette to the village of Champex via the Col des Ecandies, and the one finishing in the Chamonix valley via the Col du Tour. Other great classic descents are the runs down the Orny bowl and the Trient glacier.
If you are looking for extreme and steep faces, and you love it vertical, then the Arpettes corridors are your option!
