Join an amazing 2-day adventure in the stunning Fagaras Mountains in Romania and enjoy trekking in a unique wilderness environment with a certified local guide.
The Fagaras range is the highest in Romania and is also home to the 7 highest peaks in Romania. Its main ridge is 70km long, and it boasts 30 glacier lakes. This is one of the most attractive and challenging trekking areas in Romania!
On this 2-day trip, we can choose to explore one of two options: Moldoveanu Peak, which at 2544m, is the highest peak in Romania, or Negoiu Peak, which at 2535m, is the second-highest peak in Romania.
In order to join, participants should be able to trek 15km per day with an altitude gain of 1500m. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way!

Itinerary
Day 1 to 2: Option 1: Itinerary for Negoiu Peak
We meet in Sibiu (or we start together from Timisoara)
We drive for 1 hour by car and climb 3 hours to Negoiu Hut where we will have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2
We climb Negoiu Peak and go down to Negoiu hut and then to the car. Different routes are available to climb the peak depending on the clients' fitness and technical skills.
Day 1 to 2: Option 2: Moldoveanu Peak
We will meet in Sibiu (or we start together from Timisoara)
We drive for 1 hour by car to Balea Lake (drive on the scenic road of Transfagaran) and then we trek to Barcaciu hut.
Day 2
We climb Moldoveanu peak and we return to the car.

I discover mountains in 1997 and since than an important part of my time is spent out there. This passion leads me through different mountains ranges as Carpathians, Balkans, most of the Alps, High Atlas and Himalayas.
I start guiding in 2017 as a International Mountain Leader organizing trekking tours during the summer and snowshoeing during the winter especially in Carpathian mountain ranges.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
