Description

Located in the northern Drakensberg mountain range in South Africa, the Sentinel Peak is an amazing mountain. And, on this full-day trip, you will get to climb to the peak’s summit, where you can enjoy some tremendous views.

Truly iconic, the Sentinel Peak is the highest free standing peak in the entire area, watching over the western edge of the Amphitheatre.

Our full day trip will begin with a wonderful hike to the base of the summit. During the hike you will get to see the rich variety of flora and fauna. Once we reach the base of the peak, we will start making our ascent to the summit.

From the summit, you will be able to see a number of gorgeous highlights. Some examples include the Drakensberg Mountains, Tugela Falls, Devil’s Tooth, the Maluti Mountains, the hills of KwaZulu-Natal and more.

While not a very difficult climb, it is important that all participants on this trip are in good physical condition. Prior climbing experience, while not required, is also advantageous as well.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
